Song of the day: I Will Always Love You by Whitney Housten (R.I.P.)
I checked my stats and on Thursday, I managed to get 33 hits to my blog ~ you don't know how happy that made me! Sorry for the lack of updates, but to make up for it, here is a round up of what I got up to this week in photos!
On Monday, this is what I cooked and ate for dinner... omnomnom: Kimchi fried rice ~ it was so yummy! I don't claim to be an expert on this dish, but recipe soon, yesno?
On Tuesday, O turned up to my room with a gift of...a balloon of all things! It's being looked after by Snowy in this photo.
This is the menu for my college's Valentine's Formal on the coming Tuesday. I've already explained what Formal Hall is in a previous post, but in case you missed it, Formal is a tradition among both Cambridge and Oxford, a three or four course meal served by waiters that is held in the college's main hall. We get to dress up in smart evening clothes, wear our college gowns and stand up for grace before and after the meal. If you are going with a group of friends, then you can expect to get very very drunk as the drinking game of pennying tends to dominate the night. I'll show you photos of my college hall on Tuesday!
On Wednesday, I watched L.A. Confidential and participated in the new "University Memes" trend. The first one is pretty self explanatory ~ the frustration I share with hundreds of other cyclists when we have to swerve around pedestrians who just don't get that the road is there to separate pedestrians from...us. And the second one is the moment you realise you just shot yourself in the foot by choosing to study a degree that has lectures on a Saturday: Natural Sciences! ^^:;
My HTC Wildfire S phone arrived on Friday so I am now back on the grid! SJ, if you are reading this, my high score on Fruit Slice is 600! xD
One week old snow that refuses to melt! This was the scene on Saturday afternoon whilst cycling home laden with groceries.
There was a robin on the path, so I stopped to take a photo...which was quite difficult since the little bird kept on hopping around my bike.
Now, after a day of rock climbing, communal cooking and Take Me Out, today is the day where I catch up with all of my favourite blogs! Do leave me a comment, and I will happily visit yours. Hope you had a good weekend! :D
